The Importance of Dog Grooming?

Grooming is a very important part of maintaining your pet’s overall health. We understand that keeping your pet looking good and feeling great is important to you too.

Daisy Hill Vet is proud to be able to offer an exceptional dog and cat grooming service headed by Tonia Nash. She loves all breeds of dogs and caters to all sizes at a high standard. Tonia offers a range of dog grooming styles, from traditional clips for breeds such as Poodles, Schnauzers, and West Highland Terriers, through to basic clips. Scissor styling, coat stripping and brush-outs are also available. Tonia selects the dog grooming products that best suit the dog’s skin and coat requirements, leaving them feeling soft and smelling beautiful.

We offer a full range of grooming services including;  

Breed Standard Trim – This haircut is the traditional trim for your particular breed of dog i.e. Westie, Schnauzer, Bichon, Poodle. This service includes a relaxed massage in the bath, a fluffy blow dry, ears, nails, delicate areas, perfume and a bandanna or bow to finish. 

Style Trim – Choose the length you would like on the body, either short or long, we then style your pet’s head to suit. A teddy head, moustache, Mohawk, etc. This service includes a hand bath and fluffy blow dry, ears, nails, delicate areas, perfume and a bandanna or bow to finish. 

Tidy ups are a popular choice throughout the winter months. A relaxing hand bath with a soothing massage followed by a refreshing blow dry. The delicate areas are tidied, along with the face and legs scissored. The ears are cleaned and nails are clipped, finishing with a spray of perfume. 

Turbo De-shed and Blow Dry- This treatment is ideal for double coated breeds (i.e. Husky, Malamute, Border Collie, Golden Retriever or Pomeranian). A refreshing warm bath using special shampoo to loosen the undercoat fur that sheds around the house, followed by a fluffy blow dry. Using a special brush we remove the undercoat and any tangles from the coat. Ears are cleaned, nails are clipped, finishing with a spray off perfume. Your pet will feel clean and revitalised. 

Hydrobaths with a towel dry-off are also available for a quick and easy option to maintain a clean and healthy coat.

Refreshing Fluffy Blow Dry – A refreshing hand bath and relaxing massage followed by a fluffy blow dry. Removing tangles from the coat, nail clip and ear clean. Finishing with a spray of perfume. 

Puppy Clips are recommended for every puppy to maintain their coat until they are big enough for an adult clip. These are also a great way to get your puppy used to a lifetime of grooming. Puppies under 20 weeks of age receive a complimentary puppy clip.

Our grooming service opens at 8am everyday.  Convenient pick-up and drop-off times can be arranged.
